Hi guys, Im having a blonde moment. Im on a re-wire at the mo and the customer wants 2 way lighting for hall way and landing lights both ways. So will I need 2 3-core and earth cables between the switches? So basically its one light switch to do downstairs and then one to two way upstairs, then the same again but for upstairs. Does anyone have a wiring diagram I could see, sorry its been a long day.

Guess you haven't got your OSG with you. Oh well, live feed to sw1 com, sw1 L1 to sw2 L2, sw1 L2 to sw2 L1. Sw2 com to ceiling rose. Make sure you identify the strappers.

if you mean you want to switch either area from up or downstairs [2gang 2way] take the brown and blue from the fitting to terminals 1and2 the black and grey[of the 3 core] into the same connections the brown into the common repeat for the other switch dont forget to put brown sleeve on cables.

Rite so I've wired two 3 core and earth cables to each light switch, and a twin and earth to each fitting. Is this right to avoid the dreaded borrowed neutral?

Sounds ok to me. T+e from sw1 to c/rose 1 and connect N in the switch with a wago, same in sw2 to c/rose 2 and job done. The 3 core plus cpc are the strappers, N and cpc so no shared N and its the same length as L, easier to test.
