Are you missing something, do you seriously believe the cable is going to be subject to overcurrent conditions.Yes. BS1362 plug which has to be removed to put on the unfused 5A plug. Therefore quite likely a .5mm cable being protected by a 10A ocpd
Yes is possible but the manufacturer has to fit a plug and for this country it is going to be a 13A plug. OP you could try the 5A plug from MK part no. 643WHI which comes with a 5A fuse but you could probably change it for a 3A. No mate they only have 1 light and that's usually on the roof, and takes more than 5Amps
