Discuss Landlord Compliance - Query over documents in the The Welcome Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi,
The only instruction they had was to undertake works to bring the EIRC up to a satisfactory condition.
Thanks
Fiona
I never looks earlier at the consumer unit schedule, it is not clear why they replaced it as the EICR shows no issues with it even the mention of the 16A mcb, as previously stated in #13 is not an issue from the way it is worded. It may be worth asking why it was replaced.

Just to add it also says that item 3 incorrect fuse wire has been used but could not see any BS numbers for fuse wire on the report (3036) ,Also agree that no code for the 16 amp MCB on lighting may be just a note) , So that just leaves the cross circuit, easy to fix at the time of inspection . As for The RCD readings I would Guess this is a dual split Load Consumer unit , I would say The EICR was not done correctly,

Agreed there is no indication of 3036 fuses on the schedule. The board on the EICR is almost certainly dual rcd, the board on the EIC appear to be rcbos although they are listed as 60898.
This to me is an example of people undertaking tasks they have inadequate competence for.

I think the mention of fuse wire may be an autofill from the cert software. Fusewire is used as an example of an incorrectly sized OCPD, not a specific issue.
The wording is exactly the same as it appears in the best practice guide for EICR.
my software also autofills a generic description as soon as I enter a code.

The installers registration number is also conspicuous by its absence too.....

Many questions .......
lets hope that he has gone down the L.B.C.route then also someone put about green certs used these are produced by the NICEIC for anyone to purchase.even if you belong to one of the scheems be it NICEIC,NAPIT etc. you don't have to use their certs
