Discuss Lsf cable in shop ? Or normal twin and earth in the The Welcome Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net
I usually use plastic conduit and singles in any commercial situation.
Good question. I suppose in densely populated buildings I would use LSHF as opposed to LSF. LSF can be very similar to PVC with high chlorine content. Thus producing HCl, being the greatest hazard in fire. I should say light commercial rather than just any commercial. I tend to think of shops and offices as light commercial, just my skewed way of thinking of things probably.Lsf singles or PVC?
New buildAre you doing a complete refit, alteration or addition. If the latter what and where are you doing it and what is the existing wiring.
Ye suspended ceiling 3 fire exits no cable runs over 2 of them only 5 sockets and a few ceiling panel lights nothing elseIs there A suspended ceiling in the shop?
This would influence my decision as if it's a plaster board ceiling it offers some fire protection.
If suspended then offers practically non and I would be thinking of LSOH as the wiring due to public persons present and wiring over escape routes using non flame propagating cables.
Ye spec for rest of building and builders but I was only doing the shop front an no spec no nothingIs there no specification done for the job by anyone ?.
