Discuss New EICR - editable PDF certs in the Periodic Inspection Reporting & Certification area at ElectriciansForums.net

Not that I am endorsing Elecsa in anyway, shape or form, here are their version of the certs needed.
Elecsa - Useful Downloads
Providing you have the right version of Adobe, you can edit and fill in no probs.
Failing that, you can get some software called Form Fill, which is also pretty good and its free..
I do hope this helps and doesn't get anyone's back up...
Cheers Ian

Fantastic!!! Joined today, first post I look at is this!! Exactly what I was looking for. thanks Steve!Got a large testing job coming up and this will make the job look all the more professional.

I am sure that some people using an iPhone or iPad for these certs, had a problem with emailing them to a customer but they were still editable.
I am using an app called PDFReader Pro, they have done some updates recently to our favour, when the cert has been filled out there is a send via email button, upon selecting that there is 3 choices. The third choice is Flattened Copy, that sends the customer a Un-Editable PDF.

A couple of amendments.

Both the single board and multiple board EICR's now have an area under your logo at the top to put your address. For some reason or other, when inserting a report number in the multiple board pop up screen, it adds it to the area to put your address, just overwrite it with your address or do not add a report number on the pop up screen.

The section on page 5 where you input your test instrument details, has now been modified to allow more text characters and multi line.

Thanks Mark - Is there any way you can put the header in page 3 EICR - to include 'Item No', 'Classification Code' and Further Investigation Required'? I don't mean to sound picky, but without the heading they don't really make sense to a customer.

Great work anyway and thanks.

SOLUTION TO EVERYONE THAT CAN NOT SAVE A PDF!!!!!!

The is a freeware program called cutePDF, I have used it in the past, and have just tried it.

Here is the link
CutePDF - Convert to PDF for free, Free PDF Utilities, Save PDF Forms, Edit PDF easily.

Download and install where I have highlighted below.

Untick the toolbar option when it wants you to install.
After it is installed it says it needs to download and install another program that works with it, this is correct and you must do it.

When all done and installed, open the PDF as before ignore the you can not save message and fill out the form, go to FILE >> SAVE AS >>> CutePDF and then print, this should bring up a pop up box of where you want to save it, then voila!! It is done!

Mark just to add that although your files say that you can only print a copy instead of saving there is a way to do it with Mypdfconvertor
this little freeware acts like a virtual printer lets you save as a pdf but at the same time your documents think it printing it.

hi Mark

is there any way that you can adjust it to drag and paste info into multiple boxes at the same time to save time filling in repetitive details like on test sheets etc

thanks and good work!

I have NO IDEA if that can be done, it is a basic PDF document to me.

I could probably add a drop down box in the Ins Resistance tests as there is a bit of room, but not much else.

If you want to 'save' the pdf's so that they can't be edited when emailed to customer, then add this in - it bascially installs as a printer, so you can now print anything to a pdf , inculding an existing pdf, vopila, a now 'fixed' document, with the form filled in.

I save them with the certificate number in the file name

That's Version 4 Lite of PDF Xchange Viewer- it works as a printer deiver so just appears as any other printer does, other versions tie you in to trialling / buying the pro version. So check out the main site, make sure you use the above link though to get version 4 lite.

Bleedin hell, okay, leave it with me and I will update it, to be fair to TesterSteve when he created these he did it before the printed book was out, I only update them as and when necessary I don't use them myself!

Sorry, I am not accepting colour change requests, its more aggro, file management, hard drive space, etc, etc, than I can be bothered to deal with. And I have to use a Windows machine to do it, I hate Windoze..

I always try to follow threads that I have contributed to and this one keeps coming back up.

I noticed though that Mark is getting quite a few requests for this and that, and he always comes through and does a great job ...................especially as it seems he don't even use the forms for himself

What I have noticed is that there is a mark lack of Thank yous for him. Now I'm pretty sure Mark is not one of these guys that does something wanting something back in return, and I'm sure he does this because not only does he enjoy doing it, but he is a thoroughly decent and nice guy.

So even though I don't use these forms either out here ................I'm going to say

THANK YOU MARK FOR A FANTASTIC JOB YOUR DOING!!!!!
