Plumbers! You couldn’t make it up

Customer has just had a plumber in changing the hot water tank or something, and I’ve come to do something else…. But I find this in the heating cupboard…

That’s the old immersion switch. No chance of ever getting it off again.

And this supply is now being used for the new tank. Clever plumber should have reflexed the switch rather than do this….

I despair sometimes.

It’s a hollow partition wall.
If I’d been in the house earlier, I could have moved the switch, then let him get on with it.

I’ve given a price just to reflex, and put a switch higher up. The cable comes from above… it’s a bungalow. Half hour and a minor works.
