Could be a drilled cable when fixing the tv? Also check that you haven't trapped any cables with your 3.5 screws.

youd think he`d know what values he`s got n all as he has installed this...People are getting confused because of the 'one socket' ring when I think you mean one ring final circuit.
Also you'd think you would know exactly how many sockets there are but you say 'about' 6!
