Discuss Ring main become 2 radials in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Naz, Sorry to hear about your problem.

Can I suggest you use the service offered by the Electrical Safety Council, who are a charity who campaign for electrical safety.

If you follow this link to their website and enter your postcode, they will give you a list of the Registered Electricians nearest to where you live.

Find a Registered Electrician | Electrical Safety First - https://www.electricalsafetyfirst.org.uk/find-an-electrician/

Their list of Registered Electricians will all be qualified, regularly assessed and insured. They will also have access to technical support if necessary.

Your experience demonstrates the problems of not using a Registered Electrician, which can potentially endanger you and your family.

Instead of bashing holes in the walls, you could get your electrician to lift the floor boards or access hole to crawl space in the room where the missing sockets are located or in all rooms to ensure that all wires going up to the walls have a socket above, if not then you may be missing a socket and therefore live cables behind the walls at these locations.
