Discuss Safety without block connector? in the Australia area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi

I am seeking to extend the two core (5A) electrical supply cable to my LCD TV and wonder whether I can do this without a cable block connector i.e. simply solder the leads and insulate with tape - will this be safe?

Reason is I need to hide all the TV cables into a cable management conduit which runs along the Skirting and a block connector will not fit.

Or is there another alternative please/

Thnks

Thanks for the replies folks.

"Thru crimps or wago connectors"

I have never heard of heatshrink tubing, where would I obtain this please?
