one of the fitters has fetched me a welder where he has welded threw or melted the earth cable, and main stick weld cable it is currently 10mm2 cable, my question is can i use 16mm2 tri-rated or does have it to be "proper" welding cable (as it seems rather expensive for a drum of it)

not sure on the current ratings, all markings on the top have wore away, cable length only 1m ish ive put on some 16mm tri rated on, gonna order some real welding cable this week
