i am registered with NICEIC as a domestic installer but am re wiring a pub at the moment. today a building control guy told my customer that all the sockets in the pub were installed incorrectly as they are not 450mm from the floor! is this correct as i assumed this didnt apply in commericial premises and its an existing building. need to be sure b4 confronting this fella:mad:

well...in the living area above the pub would be classed as a domestic dwelling, but im not sure down in the public area would be? whats he said about smokes and emerg lighting ( if any) ?

i can give you 2 prime examples where weve been pulled up:
isolators above work tops for low level sockets in cupboards.
hoods for fire rated downlights - said to stop condensation

Quote " The Building Regulations require switches and socket-outlets in DWELLINGS page 137 bring your regs book with you smile.
