Hello,

I have a Leviton 51120-1 SPD connected to a residential (120/240V) 200A breaker/service main panel – The 51120 is fed from (2qty) – 20A breakers in the service panel – All wires connected to the 51120 (L1&L2 hot, neut,& ground) are 12 AWG stranded conductors – The install instructions indicate the terminal block accepts 4 to 12 AWG solid or stranded conductors - Should these conductor size be increased to 10 AWG or to solid AWG conductors or to something else ?

Thank you.

You are supposed to follow manufacturers instructions. I’ve installed many of the and it seems to vary per manufacturer of the breaker size and the wire size should match your breaker. Good luck
