hi guys, the company supplying the heat pump for the house i'm doing recommend supplying it with a sub db. the heat pump is 12kw. my plan was to run a 10mm t+e and a seperate 10mm earth wire from the consumer unit off a 50amp type c breaker to a 3way db adjacent to the heat pump and wire all the heating controls from it, manifolds ect. the consumer unit and the heat pump are in the utility at opposite ends(3m between them).
i haven't done a heat pump before so any advice and information would be helpful. to be honest i don't see what the problem would be supplying it from the consumer unit and putting a 32amp rotary isolator adjacent to the heat pump with a 6-8 mm flex going into the heat pump as they're in the same room anyway! your thoughts please? cheers
