Discuss Terminating SWA with Wylex REC Supply Isolators in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Surly that's the DNO's job, UK Power Networks into Meter, then Switch Fuse from the meter to CU ?

I believe I currently have an 8 Multiway Cut out, looks like a Ryefield. But I'm not 100% sure on that.

No you are missing the point again, the DNO cut out is before your meter. You will get one singular tpn supply from your meter, it is then you responsibility to split this for your landlords meters, unless you get the DNO to give you 12 metered supplies but that is big big money and you would still need switch fuses after that

Okay it's coming together, obviously the box that looks like a Ryefield is a Ryefield!
The current install is 8 metered supplies. I want to stick with this so EDF bill tenants directly.
I'll take a picture at the weekend for clarity.

So assuming this is all correct, is the only soloution 12 No. switch fuses or is there a single box soloution for this?

No there isn't

You did not tell us this at the start. The last 80 posts are pointless

You need to Apply to the DNO to get their horizontal Ryefield upgraded to a 12 way. They normally need 6-12 weeks notice. Big E shaped trunking. 12 x Wylex 110m's you are probably looking at £5k ish for the upgrade

This pile of junk is a 12 flat complex with DNO meters and a very old Ryefield that I had the pleasure of sorting out.

Oh dear more of his budget blown!

Already made application 3 weeks ago, rough estimate was £5k, so I think we are on the same page.

Okay, we have our final design.

The beggining of the post is still relevent as I was corrected on type of switch fuse, so this was worthwhile.

Bottom right corner of your picture looks same as mine, is that an old Ryefield?
