Hi all, what RCD should be used in a stable.Currently theres an DP isolator switch but my spark says this needs replacing with a 30mA RCD is this correct?

TIA

don't take much to drop a nag. RCD deffo.

Im no spark so assumming 30mA is less than 300mA?

Yes...the socket MUST be on a 30ma RCD....the lights can be on a 300ma RCD....but TBH I would prefer to put all the circuits in a stables on 30ma RCD's. If you install a 30ma RCD main switch and that trips you will lose all power, although there are only two circuits,it may be better to leave the DP main switch and install a separate 30ma RCBO for each circuit.

and watch how and where you bury the cable. should i shout it out, nay, i'll go hoarse

I was told that the horse has a lower dangerous voltage threshold, maybe as low as 25V.
Is it the metal horse shoes?
The front to back legs can't be much wider apart than a bull/cow.
Can anybody confirm this and is it stated anywhere?
If so is a 10mA RCD safer?
