Do you install a flylead to metal backboxes??

Guidance Note 8 is quite clear that if there is one fixed lug there is no need to bond to a metal back box. Having said that I have always done it and probably always will. I don't code it on EICRs though.

Agree with above, I do it as a force of habit though, but certainly wouldn't code it or bother to argue with anyone who doesn't - the regs are clearcut on this one!

I quite agree that you don't "have" to do it. So it's "guidance" versus "experience" :)
