Install 4 meters of twin section data trunking (pvc) with 8 double sockets. New supply to be installed length approx 30mtrs. £178

If we are talking about dado trunking that will house the 8 sockets then the two lengths (3m lengths) of decent trunking will take that £78 up on it's own, the back boxes are generally twice the price of standard back boxes too!! So it looks as if you'll be paying for at least a part of this installation yourself!! lol!!

Way to cheap mate, ...i hope you haven't quoted that price to the customer yet??

Far to cheap, double that and you should be ok. Materials alone will be well over £100. Is this a new circuit if so plus the cost of mcb or rcbo depending on d/b.

I have installed thousands of meters in schools fella and always quote 60 quid a meter plus vat, it works out pretty good, so that would be 240 plus vat, however dado comes in 3 mtr lengths so you have to buy 6 mts, so you need to add the missing 2 mtrs to that quote as well, I know you are not installing it but the trunking and lids needs to be paid for. Now that price at 60 quid a meter is a very competitive one when I am up against several companies, if possible I would add to that myself, then you have the 30 mtr supply? which has not even been discussed yet 178 is way to short, 500 plus vat more realistic.
