Could just briefly turn the valve on to see if it is actually connected to mains gas. Daz
Be assured it very probably will be, but I have to ask what would the presence - or not - of gas in the pipe have to do with the issue of does it need bonding?? :dead:
Was just replying to post 143 about the availability of free un metered gas. Daz
Perfectly feasable but you would need to bolt a governor on it first to reduce the pressure from 70 Millibar to 20 Millibar first!
Just turn the valve on about a third of the way. Daz
Just put a clamp on the handle! No need for sandpaper or a blow tourch. No paint on that!.....I'll get ma coat.....
Which will reduce the flow but not the pressure. Nor will it regulate the pressure to keep it constant. That is the job of the governor.
By all means try it and see what happens ...... I'll send flowers to your funeral.
Where's ayjay gone?
