Test tubes are usually placed in special-purpose racks.
Good afternoon,
I wanted to heat up a .5" copper tube that is approximately 15cm long up to about 250 C. I would like to use nichrome to do this, but I know that I will have to use an insulator of some type between the nichrome and the copper tubing. Would JB Weld work? If I lathered the...
One of the fluorescent tubes in my undermount lighting system burnt out. There are 3 independent tubes/ballasts under the length of the kitchen cabinets and the others were still on.
After carefully replacing the affected tube, it seems that all three lamps are now not working.
The breaker...
I am buying a house and it was built in 1949.
Is there anyway I can tell if it has tube wiring without opening up the walls?
Is there anything else I need to watch out for with a home built in 1949?
Also can anyone explain these 2 photos to me? Does any of it explain if there is tube wiring?
Hey all,
So this is probably a quick question.
I have some under-cupboard kitchen light tubes that are old and have clearly blown at some point.
Would like to replace them but have two questions:
1. In the attached photo, you can see the product identifiers, but an internet search doesn't bring...

Attached are some photos of the existing tube and power connections.
Can you recommend a LED lighting product that would be able to use the existing power connections...

Fitted two 2 foot fluros for a customer but he now says they are too bright. Are there any cheap ways of successfully dimming them? I read that a dimmer switch will work to about 50%, turn on full power and once its fired up turn it down, has anyone tried this?
Thanks
Jon
A friend of mine has asked me to pop over and see why one of his fluorescent units is not working in the changing rooms.
The only information I have at the moment is that it's a double strip light unit and he's tried swapping them over with known working replacements and still no light...
