This is my first post so Hi to all

I have to wire in a couple of 16 amp 3 phase wall sockets in a work shop.
The ones I have been given are 4 pin.

If I run Line 1, Line 2, and Line 3 standard brown Black Grey I am guessing the 4th pin is for earth and power is between each phase?

Just checking as I have this naggin doubt that the 4th pin would be for neutral.

I have to install 2 in the work shop and there is a spare 20A 3Phase CB on the board I am guessing I can ring each line back to the board?

Thanks for any responce

Sounds like a 3 phase supply for a motor no neutral needed. So yes L1 L2 L3 & cpc.

I personally would not wire these on a ring. I would run in a seperate radial for each 4 pin back to seperate MCB's.

as above and you also need to think of motor protection methods, you dont want somebody to test a 1kw motor using a socket on a 20amp beaker
