i agree with mogga, that if you can prove continuity, then why put in links? surely thats what the joining plates are for. same for ladder and tray IMO. There are lots of things we do as sparks, that we just say, well thats whats always been done, and we just do it. is it actually needed?
I know people will say that the steel will corrode, and the copper wont, but you are still attaching to the same steel, that will corrode, so surely 4- 8 bolts each side of the join are better than one bolt each side, with a copper strip!
