  • Over the 8 years of my long term project I have had the aftermarket central locking working, and then I stripped the whole car down and now I have the little ECU box and I have actuators but I don't have the loom to connect them (somehow). I actually have two (different make) little ECUs […]
  • Hi, as per the attached video clip, when I continuity test my windscreen wiper motor with a multimeter, it registers continuity between all 4 pins on the connector. The pins are for power, low speed, high speed and park. Is this normal? It does NOT register continuity between the pins and the motor casing. Thanks
  • hi everyone i have a very strange problem with my car and there is a short circuit without burnt fuse i trace it and ended up to esp module i removed it and measure resistance between gnd pins and hot pins the reading shows 1 mega ohm also resistance between gnd and some other pins […]
  • Hi all, I have a 2019 mercedes vito with SAM fault . No water damage inside, right drl is intermittent . I've powered a relay from the left and taken a supply from the front fuse box to get me through the MOT. Notice voltage at lamp is only 9.5V (same brightness on left), but […]
  • I installed a flashing module to diffuser light. Which turns on with my DRLs. However the flash module, for when i brake, only works when my DRLs are off. When the DRL is on, so at night when Id want it to flash, it just stays solid when I brake. Wondering if there’s a way […]
  • Hi all. Totally new to auto relays so hope this is ok to ask. Can anyone advise would the below work ok for triggering a standard 5-pin changeover relay to allow the blue circuit to be joined when the orange circuit is joined (by the alarm on a vehicle)? pin87a will be unused. This is […]

  • So, I am a relative beginner (only fiddle when needed and usually following clear instructions or diagrams) when it comes to 12v switches and relays, but I am needing some help with a set of switches and a micro relay I purchased from Amazon (those who purchase here know most stuff comes with either no […]
  • Hi All, I have a reverse camera that has stopped working, likely cause is one of the yellow male plugs is corroded and the metal on the male has come off. The wiring is similar to the video cable ones you can buy from Amazon, with the yellow male to yellow male with trigger. My […]
  • Hey guys, got a 1995 NF Fairlane with no spark. Car cranks fine, have 12v at the coil coming from the ignition when on reds. The 3 yellow signal wires that come from the ECU all have 12v, but no pulse when cranking, they all stay at 12v. Injectors are pulsing so no issue with […]
  • Hello all, I have a tail light for a '12 Ducati Panigale 1199 S, that I can't get working properly. The brake light / daytime running lights work fine through the factory connector. The turn signals are the problem, they do not work independently – they flash like hazard lights. The tail light only has […]
  • The dash in my 2012 ford focus stopped working.. after some testing, the ground is perfect but there is only .34v going to the harness for the cluster and same coming into the fuse.. there is 12v from battery to high current fuse but i havnt tested from there to engine bay fuse box yet.. […]
  • So I'm having a bit of a headscratcher. On diagram y194 is a fuel pressure regulator.. On the bench 1 wire is 12v and the other is ground – negative. Once plugged in there's 12v on one side of the plug wire and 5v to 10v on the other wire should that not run on […]
  • Hey there currently wiring in a different cluster into my car (s15 Silvia cluster into s14) the first 2 wires I connected up were power and ground for the cluster and it initially lit up the warning lights then they went away and wouldn’t come back, I checked my ground pin n cluster and it […]
  • I have a 2012 Ram 1500 which started not cranking intermittently. When it does this, the security dash light will be flashing. You can actually tell if it is going to crank by just turning the key on and waiting about 4 seconds for the dash lights to go off. IF the security light goes […]
  • Dear all, Just wondered if anyone could solve this puzzle: Today I changed the headlight bulb on my car. It all worked fine when fitted, but then – When I took the ignition key out I noticed the headlights stayed on (I've had the car 10 years – they only work with the ignition key […]
  • I have an old 175 trail bike , the 6v light run direct from ac generator, however its putting out 20v ac, and blowing the bulb…rather than having the stator rebuilt , I wish to put in a reducer to drop the voltage..I believe a resistor will suffice, but what size ? The headlamp is […]
